He looked round different places of the construction site to learn about the construction.

He was greatly pleased that the eye-opening speed of construction, Korea-speed, was being created through a mass competition in all places of the construction site.

Stressing the need to effectively use the area of the housing district, he said that scientists would like to see plots for sideline farming and greenhouses built well in the places between apartment houses.

He gave instructions to complete the arrangement of the environment before the rainy season by simultaneously pushing forward under a plan the planting of turf and trees of good species and the building of roads and walk-ways in the housing district in keeping with the progress made in the construction.

He dropped in at various flats of apartment houses Nos. 5 and 9. Noting that the inner structures were built well to the convenience of settlers, he praised the soldier-builders for constructing them well as required by the design approved by the party.

Telling officials to provide scientists with houses impeccable in any aspect, he said to this end it was necessary to reflect the WPK’s idea of attaching importance to science and the Juche-oriented idea of architectural beauty in all structures.

The Marshal noted:

“What is the most important for the construction of apartment houses for scientists is to direct primary attention to ensuring quality.”

He called for completing them as the best ones under the slogan of responsibility for the safety of the structures and guarantee of their absolute quality for all eternity.

He instructed officials to raise a strong wind of ideological and agitation campaigns, bearing in mind that the greatest potentials for creation and innovations and the master key to working miracles lie in giving the fullest play to the mental power of the masses.

He said:

“It is the promise the party made to scientists to complete the construction till the anniversary of the founding of the party this year.”
