Kim Jong Un Enjoys Art Performance of Servicepersons
Pyongyang, October 27 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, enjoyed a performance given by those who proved successful in the 36th Art Festival of KPA Servicepersons.

The performers were soldiers of the companies under KPA units 251, 905, 565 and 1821 and seamen of submarine No. 730 under the navy Unit 167.

The numbers of the performance included story-telling and song “The Peerlessly Great Men of Mt. Paektu and Soldiers on Cho Islet”, dialogic poem and song “We Follow You with Single Mind”, interlude “‘Dear Home’ under Sea” and chorus “Our Destiny and Future Entrusted to You”.

The performance well represented the servicepersons’ happy life under the care of the supreme commander as well as their ardent yearning for him and the might of the harmonious whole of them sharing the same feelings and will with him.

The performers proudly showed their service life that they have prepared themselves to remain true to the intention of the supreme commander through more intensive military training.

At the end of the performance Kim Jong Un acknowledged the enthusiastically cheering performers.

He gave them thanks in the name of the KPA supreme commander, expressing his great satisfaction over the successful performance, clear-cut in political standard and strong in the revolutionary soldier spirit.

He noted with high appreciation that the performance was made up of numbers well showing the character and mission of the KPA as the army of the Party and its revolutionary nature and vividly and truly represented the servicepersons’ efforts for strengthening their companies, a cell and a basic combat unit of the KPA.

He had a photo session with the performers, expressing conviction that they would perform greater feats in their military training and service as they displayed to the full the ideological and moral traits of the KPA in the festival.

Stressing that sustained big efforts should be directed to company art group activities to prepare the servicepersons as revolutionaries fully ready in aspects of politico-ideology and military technique and with high cultural attainments, he advanced the tasks to do so.

Among the spectators were Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Yong Gil, Jang Jong Nam, Kim Won Hong, Kim Chang Sop, Pyon In Son, So Hong Chan, Kim Su Gil, Ryom Chol Song, Kim Yong Chol, Jo Kyong Chol, Hwang Pyong So and exemplary company commanders and political instructors who participated in the 4th meeting of KPA company commanders and political instructors. -0-
