Kim Jong Un Has Photo Session with Overseas Koreans

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, Tuesday had a photo session with overseas Koreans who took part in the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Present there were Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Jang Jong Nam, Yang Hyong Sop and Kim Yang Gon.

Also present there were the delegation of overseas Korean war veterans headed by Kim Kang Hui, congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan headed by Hong In Hum, chairman of the Central Audit Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, delegation of the General Association of Koreans in China headed by Chairperson Choe Un Bok, delegation of the Central Association of Korean Nationals in Russia headed by Chairperson Jang Sun Jong, delegation of the International United Confederation of Koreans headed by First Chairman Kim Chil Song, delegation of the Federation of Koreans in the U.S. headed by Chairman Yun Kil Sang, Jong Il Sim, widow of DPRK Hero An Tong Su, Pak Sang Gwon, secretary general of the World Peace Federation, and other overseas Koreans.

When Marshal Kim Jong Un appeared, all the participants broke into stormy “hurrah!” enthusiastically welcoming Kim Jong Un, who is making all his devotion and efforts for the prosperity of the country and its national reunification as well as the strengthening of the Juche-based movement of overseas Koreans.

He waved to the cheering participants with a smile on his face.

He warmly congratulated the participants on playing a big role in defending the undying feats the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed by strengthening the overseas Koreans movement and in firmly defending and strengthening the organizations of compatriots and Koreans’ community under difficult circumstances in alien lands.

He had a picture taken with the overseas Koreans, expressing expectation and conviction that they would make tangible contributions to bringing earlier the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and the building of a thriving nation, keeping pace with the people in the homeland dynamically advancing to the final victory. -0-
