Kim Jong Un Visits Kumsusan Palace of Sun

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defense Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun to pay tribute to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il at 00:00 on July 27, the 61st anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War.

He entered the hall where the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are standing.

The chief of a guard of honor of the Ground, Naval, Air and Anti-Air Forces of the KPA and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards made a salute towards the statues.

A floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un was placed before the statues.

Also laid before them was a floral basket in the name of the KPA.

He, together with other visitors, paid high tribute to the statues.

He entered the hall where Kim Il Sung lies in state.

He went round the hall where orders Kim Il Sung received are preserved, the mourning hall and halls that house a train coach and car used by him.

He was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, Ri Yong Gil, Hyon Yong Chol, Pyon In Son, So Hong Chan, Pak Yong Sik, Ryom Chol Song, Jo Kyong Chol and other KPA commanding officers and those of the services and corps-level units of the KPA.
