Kim Tok Hun Inspects Farms in South Hwanghae Province

Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) — Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, inspected farms in Anak, Sinchon and Jaeryong counties in South Hwanghae Province.

Going round fields of the Oguk Co-op Farm in Anak County, Saegil Co-op Farm in Sinchon County and others, he stressed the need for junior officials and agricultural workers of the farms to successfully finish the farming this year marking the 75th founding anniversary of the Party with the pride of working on the farms associated with the leadership exploits of the Party.

He called for overhauling rice harvesters and threshers in time to increase the proportion of mechanization in harvesting, urging the Haeju Tractor Accessory Parts Factory to produce and supply efficient farm machines and accessories.

On Samjigang Co-op Farm and Kanggyo Co-op Farm in Jaeryong County, he underlined the need to thoroughly implement the Party’s policy of double cropping. He urged the farms to encourage their farmers by rationally introducing a field-responsibility-system within the framework of the sub-work team management system and to increase per-hectare yield by positively applying scientific methods to farming.

He also visited the dwelling house construction sites in Tokam-dong and the seat of Rimhan-ri, Panmun District in Kaesong City. He underscored the need to intensify the anti-epidemic activities with high vigilance, given that the areas are near the Military Demarcation Line, and to guide the construction of dwelling houses, which is underway at the final stage, in a responsible manner. He also discussed the issue to let relevant units supply raw materials in time and took due measures. -0-
