War veterans arrived in Pyongyang on July 25 to attend the 6th National Conference of War Veterans to be held on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Korean people’s victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

They left for Pyongyang by plane, train and bus in different parts of the country.

Before departure, they laid floral baskets and bouquets at the statues of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the portraits of their smiling images in their residential quarters and paid tribute to them.

People across the country warmly congratulated the war veterans on their participation in the conference.

The participants in the conference, upon their arrival, were warmly greeted by senior officials of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Citizens in the streets waved their hands to the war veterans as a show of respect for them.

They arrived at the April 25 Hotel, their lodging place, where they were kindly welcomed by its officials and staff members.
