World Health Org South-East Asia Regional Technical Consultation on Telemedicine Held

While the meeting was under way, the participants visited Kim Man Yu Hospital, Pyongyang City Hospital No. 2, and Yonsan County People's Hospital in North Hwanghae Province to learn about how telemedicine service is working in the hospitals.

Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) — The WHO South-East Asia Regional Technical Consultation on Telemedicine was held here from July 30 to August 1.

Attending the meeting were Kang Ha Guk, minister of Public Health, public health officials of the DPRK and from foreign countries, Rajesh Bhatia, acting regional director for WHO South-East Asia, the representative of the WHO here, foreign embassy officials and representatives of international bodies here.

Speeches were made there.

After briefing was made on the telemedicine service system established in all parts of the country, experience gained in different countries was exchanged.

The issues of increasing the qualitative level of such service were discussed.
